Just taking a poll here, I know that no one wants to put up their address, but just having a general idea which area(s) the rats have infested would help...I haven't seen any around my building, but the dumpster issues are pretty disgusting and I'm not far from one of them.

Thanks for creating this site! I had no idea this was going on in my community!!!

Yes, there are rats. I live in building 12, and over the past year I have had SIX, yes SIX rats die under the bathroom sink. The die UNDER the base of the cabinet, so you don't know about it until you start smelling it. I even argued with them for a week, because they continued to tell me that there was not a rat under the sink (this was after the 3rd or 4th rat was found) and I continued to insist that I smelled something dead. Finally they checked the wall behind the toilet and thre was a dead rat there. They had to cut a hole in the wall to get it out. And when I say a rat, I don't mean small, tiny mice. I mean rats the size of a small cat. Management says the problem is now taken care of, but last week I heard them in the walls again. . . . . do NOT MOVE HERE. It doesn't matter how neat and clean you are (and I keep my apartment very clean) you will have rats.

Yup. Lisa is not a nice person. Your best bet is to try and talk to any guy in there who is in a suit. I say this because since he is dressing "up" for his job he probably has the kind of professionalism that will get him snapped up by a much better company than ours -but at least you can benefit for the whole 3.5 secs he is there.

Under no cirmcumstances should you talk to any woman who works for the company. They are all idiots, and each will tell you a different story. I will say, though, that if you dial the Worthington Corporation directly and speak with one of their customer service representatives they are more than kind, and are actually more than informed on all the subjects that would be important to you as a renter. You can also report any unprofessional conduct to them as well.

Based on the buildings I have been in on the property, I would say that building 800 is the cleanest and most vermin-free. But, I think only three of the units are occupied in that entire building right now. . .

You are all right about the office staff. No two people tell the same story...that's if those two people are there to talk to again. The new manager is decietful, dishonest, and two faced. She yells at the residents, their guests, and her staff. She is truly a poor representation of the management company. Speaking of, has anyone sent letters or called the management company, or for that matter, the owner? Do these people really know what type of people they have working for them????? The rat problem is out of control and what they do to cover it up is just move people around or off the property. If the owner knew what was best for his community and the residents, he would replace the management team as a whole.

Good Luck to those of you who remain for the time being.....

I almost was ready to go in and make a "deal" here solely based upon the look and of course the location. If it weren't for web heroes like this guy, I'd have been stuck and no telling what would have happened to my expensive audio/video and PC equipment, and not to mention my guns. Better yet, no telling what would have happened had someone broke in while I was actually THERE.

Methinks I'll look further north. What a shame half-assed management has to ruin a place, let alone thugs and rats.

I am so sorry you guys are going through this! I moved out of Archstone Roswell in Nov. 2003 after several people tried to break into my apt. and a girl was raped. I decided to buy a house, and it was the best decision I made! Thankfully, I got out before the complex got worse.

I live near the front apts. right across from the dumpster and have not seen a rat, then again I am on the top floor. Do rats like to climb??

The new Mangement is not very professional. High Turnover. You speak to a new leasing agent everytime you go in. Lisa the new manager lies alot. She is a racist southern white lady.

I agree, the new management is very unprofessional and very rude. I have not had the occassion to speak with the manager Lisa, but I have spoke with Denise and she is extremely rude. She will make an agreement with you, then all but call you a liar by telling you that she did not make the initial agreement. She then will then change the agreement with a threat. Needless to say, I will not be renewing my lease.

Thank you about the lies comment. I was given a lease renewal rate option recently, both in writing and on the phone (I wrote down the phone quote on my "new rental rate" and I'm _really_ good about getting my facts straight). When I went into the office, I was told I had "heard incorrectly," and the new rental rate was (no surprise) revised upwards, since "...market rates had changed." Isn't somebody monitoring these folks? Some sort of Georgia Apartment Better Business Bureau? Isn't this deliberate deception? I felt like I was dealing w/ some kind of on-the-fly flimflam.

Haven't seen any rats in the branch of apartments around 2100, however, do have a small issue with small little beetles in the kitchen.....I agree though, the dumpster problems are a huge issue.

The Dumpster is where the problem all started before, thats what started the whole infestation. When it was broke for 3 months last summer.
